Hydrous Cognisance

This film is all about water. It is composed of "found footage" that is MY footage over the past couple of years. From my bathtub in Bozeman to Spain, Greece, Alabama, Glacier national park etc. Its about thinking of water...... being happy in the tub....but also thinking about what is going to happen to the water after it goes down the drain. Being conflicted about having a relaxing bath. I would love to edit the movie to be a minute shorter etc, but I have lost the original project file.

This was the first assignment for Experimental Film. Direct Animation. The clear 16mm Film was drawn on with ink and marker frame by frame. This is roughly 30 ft. worth of film. 24 frames per second are played, therefore 24 x 90 = number of frames drawn in... = 2160ish Frames drawn. :)

Fractured Ripples

This was made on 16mm Film using a Bolex Camera. The assignment was to make a movie to a soundtrack that other classmates made. Tyler and Matt made the sound track. Celeste Pfau is the "actress" in the film.

 

Color Flush

Running Time: 2:52 min.

3 min Film. Shot on 16mm. Foley Added to it later. Was originally made for Anjali's Experimental Film to another soundtrack. Celeste helped with pouring colorful water into toilet. The movie was made with the intention to use it in a Toilet Paper Installation piece April 19, 2013.

Final. The instructions were very specific to include the following: sit down interview, walk and talk interview, a jib, and a rolling shot. This is a portrait of a gardener in Bozeman, MT.

This is my first year film for MSU. I made it with the intention of describing a number with minimal words. It is an experimental film with many layers to its construction/.

This film was made in 6 weeks for the Southern Environmental Law Center in Birmingham, AL. The film is about the current air quality in Birmingham.

This film was made for the Koronis Fest as a PSA entry by me and Anna Lloyd the day before the festival. It won second place in the animation contest. 

Won't You Come and Spoon

This film was made for an entry level animation class at UAB. It is a stop animation "music video" based on my sister Stella's song. I had fun with this film.

Vivid Caldera

I directed this short poetic film about Yellowstone and its natural formation. It was the first asignment in Gianna's first year film class. I wrote up the preproduction (script) forms, filmed part of the film, and editted the film with Zuzana.

This film was made the Summer of 2010 for a class about the American Spirit. The time limit for the film was set at 3 min.

This film was made during the Spring of 2010. It was based off of some research I was helping conduct at UAB about Ocean Acidification. I turned this movie in as an independent study for my "Environmental Science Filmmaking degree." It features Dr. James McClintock.

This movie was made in collaboration with Zafer Kizilkaya as a campaign to try and make locals eat the invasive fish of the Mediterranean sea near Turkey. I edited the film.

Can-CAT-strophe

This is a movie that I made with Dr. James McClintock about Ocean Acidification. The idea is to introduce the concept of Ocean Acidification in a fun way using cats. 

What is Goalball?

This is a movie for NCHPAD. One of the first movies for the Goalball longer movie. It is simple and fun and is meant to allow the public to know what goalball is .

Rolling Through the Hoops 

Year of production: Fall 2016/ Spring 2017

Running Time: 8min 

After playing wheelchair basketball for 25 years, participating in five Paralympics, and receiving 3 gold medals, Christina Schwab is a full time Wheelchair Basketball Coach at the University of Whitewater in Wisconsin.  Christina is a well-rounded person who believes in teamwork, giving back to the community of wheelchair basketball, and the importance of keeping close to family, especially her son Lincoln.   Learn about Schwab’s unique life story in this eight minute film, “Rolling through the Hoops”, funded by the One Revolution Foundation (http://one-revolution.org/).

Universal Auras

This film trailed for the Hidden Truth's Project in Boston, Chicago and in California. It is about my SEEG . Some of the photos are designed by my sister and I, but taken by Randal Crow. Other photos are simply taken by me.  etc. after the SEEG.
